Miscommunication

so I would like to know your opinion about it

Miscommunication
Communication has now become an important skill that one must have to communicate between other social groups. However, many people consider language as a cause of miscommunication between different groups of people. Communication problems caused by not hearing or not understanding what others are saying.
Many people might be upset because they can not hear what others are saying, specifically older people. For example, my grandfather, who is 65 years old, was not able to hear clearly because he spent all his life working and helping other people, till he had an accident which left him helpless. We all tried to make him feel as if nothing had happened to him, but he refused to believe us and start saying, “If I'm ok, why I can not hear all of you good?" As we know, when people get older, their health goes down. Also those who cannot hear well might have difficulty with speaking. This happened to my grandfather.
People also lack communication skills which might cause a misunderstanding between different groups of people. Do we ask ourselves why we are arguing sometimes? One of the important reasons might be because of misunderstanding another language that is different from our native language. For example, I'm not from here and my native language is Arabic. I had many problems and I was struggling not to have others. One day I asked myself why did I have all these problems? Really I found out that the reason for all my problems was because I did not understand what others are saying because I translate from English to Arabic to understand first; then to answer or communicate, I do the opposite thing.
If we stop and think for a moment, we are going to know that each person has a different thought in his or her language which causes to get confused. For example, if I speak to my friend at 2 am and say “I will see you tomorrow” I mean the same day not the following day. That might cause confusion. For months after I came to the U.S.A, my teachers were teaching me how to think just in English, which means when I have a conversation, I have just to translate from English to English not to Arabic. That’s really helped me a lot.
Speech, which is important in our life to communicate with others, is at the same time it is a problem. One of the group of people who have this problem are "International students". It might be hard for them to say all the words correctly. I remember when I came to the U.S.A last year, my English was not that good, but some people did not give up and tried to understand me. However, others gave up from the first time. For example, students who were working with me in a group changed group because I could not speak very well. All that happened to me because I was not able to say some words correctly. Then I decided with some of my friends to help each other to change. We were met in each other apartments, and tried to learn a new words and how to say them correctly. All that helped us a lot but, really it took time till we became a good speakers. So we did our part by things to be better understood.
None of us want to have a trouble when we communicate with others. Miscommunication might hurt because it can be frustrating, specifically older people and international students. However, I believe that for each problem there is a solution and there is nothing is impossible in this life. We feel bad sometimes when nobody wants to listen to us, others might feel the same.
